Welcome to Our Princess in PigTails Designs, formally known as Blog Makeovers by Tara.

I have recently changed the look of things around here and have expanded my design business to include other creations than just blogs.

If you are looking for a custom design product without emptying your savings account, you have come to the right place. I believe in creating a unique product and experience without charging an outrageous price. I believe my packages and prices are very fair in price, but very extraordinary in design. Behind the scenes here at PIP Designs.

Not very many people know what really goes on behind the scenes here at PIP Designs. Its chaotic, rewarding, and sometimes stressful. A typical days goes something like this:

7am- wake up, get K ready, let the dogs out, get breakfast for all the children
8am- K settles in her routine, the dogs are taken care of and are back sleeping. I start to tackle my email.
9am- Emails are finished. I start my to do list of design work based on who has sent in their proper payment and order forms etc.
10am-12pm- Work on designs while K plays. Answer emails.
12pm- Let the dogs out again. Get K some lunch. Get me some lunch. Bathroom break.
1pm-3pm- Work on designs while K plays. Answer emails.
4pm- Start dinner. Take a break for a few hours to spend with the family.
8pm- Return back to my computer to finish up any loose ends (designs or emails) before the next day begins.
10pm- Bedtime. Repeat the schedule the very next day.

Seeing how long I work, and how dedicated I am, I truly should be charging my clients more. I believe in giving all my clients the best work that I can generate, even if that means I am working long hard hours at a rate of less than minimum wage. I take for granted sometimes that people appreciate and reciprocate the respect of my work and my business. I believe I am fair with my prices, my creativity, and my ability to work with people who are on a strict budget. I just wish people would stop taking advantage of this good hearted gal. It gets old, and quite frankly, ruins for the rest of the group. This is a business built on ethics and hard work, straight from my heart.

Whew, these past few weeks have been a whirlwind. The new job is going great and definitely keeping me busy. Design time is still there and I have NO WAIT LIST RIGHT NOW. Which is incredible and hard to come by. Some designers have wait lists until next year. Nope, not this small town girl. I miss designing and connecting creatively with my clients. Its something that makes my heart smile.

Next year, prices and packages will be changing, just an FYI. If you want these prices and these packages, better take advantage of it while you can.

Ch-Ch-Changes….

Things have been jammed packed around here since vacation. I apologize to those waiting on me to finish up their designs. Since returning from vacation, I have started a full time work outside the home job, which will take some time away from designing. Have no fear, I am still designing, just not everyday and with the quick results that you are use to seeing from me. It will take me longer, as I have fewer days off devoted to designing, but it will not hinder the process or the quality of my work. I just ask for your patience, you probably won’t get your design done within a week like you use to be able to, it might take up to two weeks to fully complete the design process. This is typical in the industry which is good since I don’t feel like I am really doing anything out of the ordinary. I just loved how fast I WAS able to muscle thru things.

Also you will notice new scenery around here. I have had this design ready to go for awhile but felt it was time to revamp it. I was getting bored with the ole fuchsia stuff. The new logo should be done soon so that will be the last change on here for awhile.

I just wanted to give you all a heads up. I have accepted a job which will require a lot of my free designing time. I have no plans, right now, to stop designing, and will fulfill my obligations; however, please realize that this might alter your design schedule. I will do my best to keep things on track and completed quickly, however please note that there might be some delays.

I have a feeling the days of completing a design a day are over, but I had to do this to better my life, our future.

So please understand. I’m not going anywhere, just scaling back a bit.

As many of you know, Blogger was out for almost 2 days, why I have no idea. All I do know is that is has deleted everything I did yesterday. My design work which took the whole day (it was almost done) and my personal blog post which hey its really not that big deal since only a handful of people read it.

Clients have been saying they’ve lost hundreds of comments etc. and I apologize I have no fix or answer for them. I am not sure if they will come back, or when.

So, I’ll be here designing what I did yesterday, while drowning my sorrow in water. Yeah, the good stuff I would normally drink to wash away my woes isn’t on my diet. Pray for me. lol…

This will delay things, but I hope that it doesn’t set me back too much. I appreciate all your patience, trust and understanding. Thanks for being great clients/followers.

You’ll notice things have changed, once again, around here. I think I have finally found my business identity and I love love love how this turned out. I was tired of having a crown as my brand, I wanted something more, something more me. That’s what this site represents, ME and my designs!

Also, I have started to add premade template designs. I only have one available as of now, but I look to be adding more in the next couple of days.

The order form now includes payment. Once you hit submit, you will be redirected to paypal to pay right away. This eliminates time wasted waiting for me to send you an invoice. My paypal info is already entered so there should be no confusion.

I also had to add a paypal fee and a hosting fee to all designs. This was not by my choice, but the constant increases in fees, I had to try to recover some of my losses. The total fees added to new design projects are $7.00.

I am thinking of doing a Mother’s Day giveaway. Details will be coming in the next few days. I do have a giveaway going on right now on Facebook. Head over to MBG’s facebook fan page, go to the 4k giveaways album, and you will see my contribution amongst the photos.

Blogger IE issues

It has come to my attention that blogs are not looking right in IE 9, blogger and IE 9 are not having a good mutual relationship right now. I suggest you switch browsers to Chrome or FF until they work out their differences. There is nothing that I can do to help the situation, its happening on all blogs, even my own.

So if you are viewing this blog in IE 9, and it looks weird (specifically the fonts on the post titles and sidebars), I apologize but try refreshing your browser or switching. It’s a known fact with designers that blogger and IE have never really gotten along, and this newest version just proves it even more.

Since vacation I have been quite busy. I am loving all the referrals and all the business. It keeps my creative mind from growing old and boring. It seems as if Blogger and JavaScript are having a serious communication problem. I don’t believe it affects you posting, but it does affect the template editor portion of the blog. Therefore, I am unable to edit/update code. The save button doesn’t work making it very frustrating. I believe in creating a unique product and experience without charging an outrageous price. I believe my packages and prices are very fair in price, but very extraordinary in design. I offer the following products:

This is hobby for me as well as a way to make some extra money while staying home with our daughter. I am a self taught HTML/PSP girl who had to learn it in order to keep up with her blog changes. My husband is an IT guru for a business in the big city so technology and computers are our life, outside of our pets and our daughter.

I look forward to giving you that personalized product you have always wished for but could never afford. I have several packages and various add on items that are available.

Once you have recieved your file digitally, you are not required to give me proper credit unless you would like to. If you are posting it somewhere, I would ask that you give me proper credit but not expect it. If you have purchased a blog design, you agree to keep my button and credits ( the designer and kit used on your blog) until you uninstall the blog template. Feel free to move the objects around, just as long as they appear on your blog we are fine.

Payment
Payments are to be made via PayPal vball.chic14@gmail.com

An upfront payment is required and must be made within 5 days of you submitting the order to me OR I will email you an invoice within 2 business day after receiving the order. Payments that have not been received within the time frame will void the transaction.

Refunds
NO REFUNDS GIVEN.

Portfolio
In the portfolio section of the blog, you will find the works I have created. Headers from blog makeovers will be shown here as well. If you have had something made by me, then I will post it in the portfolio section unless requested by you not to do so.

Sidebar Information
I suggest you back up your template before going through with the makeover. Sidebar information should not be lost but things do happen from time to time. I will try and back up any information that I feel might be lost. However, as the blog owner, this responsibility is yours.

No Modifications
After installation of your blog, no modifications to my templates, designs, or coding will be made without my written consent. Moving things around do not count.

Revisions
There are free revisions (within reason) included in the price of your blog makeover. If these revisions become excessive, there will be charges incurred as a result of my time and effort. If there are updates and changes you would like made after the inital installation or delivery of your file, you will be charged a fee. See MISC.

Satisfaction
If you are not satisfied with your blog makeover experience, please contact me first instead of splattering my name all over the internet. I am an easy and reasonable person to work with and we will come to an agreement about the transaction.

Files
I will not keep the files and code (if applicable) unless you pay for the file cabinet fee. I can not keep all the files without breaking my external hard drive and wallet. See MISC.
